Basement Refresh
This basement was last updated 15-20 years ago with wall panels and DIY drywall mudding. Once we removed the wall panels, we were able to update the insulation and vapour barrier on the exterior walls before installing new drywall and a bright paint colour on all existing walls.
The ceiling required a skim coat of mud before getting a fresh coat of paint as well. The floor was left untouched as it was in great shape and we were asked to save and reinstall the baseboards which helped keep costs down for the homeowner.
We closed off the furnace room with the installation of a new bifold door and updated the flooring at the bottom of the stairs with remaining flooring from a previous reno.
It was a small scale renovation with a major impact making the basement space warm, bright and comfortable for the homeowner to spend more time enjoying.
